Avivah Wittenberg-Cox, CEO of Twenty first, a consulting company that focuses on building gender-balanced businesses says:
“We know that companies with more gender-balanced leadership teams significantly outperform companies with only men at the helm.”
In the United States of America, women make up only 19% of the U.S. Congress and only four of President Obama’s fifteen Cabinet Members are women.
Many countries have already taken steps to even representation in Government.
According to the article “Here’s What Happens When You Put More Women in Government”, countries like Sweden, Rwanda and Finland have either a parliament or a ministry that is at least fifty percent female.
Countries with greater female representation in government are outperforming the United States on many levels.
