Former Whitby-Oshawa MPP has been assigned a new position.
Last summer, Christine Elliot resigned from politics. Recently, she was appointed as the first Patient Ombudsman in Canada.
Christine Elliot first joined politics to help improve the healthcare system. She looks forward to applying the experience that she gained as an MPP and Health Critic for the PC party. Christine Elliot has referred to the Patient Ombudsman position as a dream job.
She looks forward to helping resolve issues related to Hospitals, Community Care Access Centres and Long-Term Care Homes. Christine Elliot officially takes the post on July 1, 2016. Learn more.
