What is a Skilled Trade Worker?
In general, Skilled Trade Workers have received some form of specialized training to gain the skills required to create a particular product or deliver a service.
There are more than 200 designated trades in Canada. Some skilled trades are accredited (e.g. training and certification are required before services are sold) and some do not require certification.
There are four main categories of Skilled Trades. They are: Construction, Transportation, Manufacturing and Services (e.g. hair stylist).
