When Pir Momin began looking for work as a Radiologist, he turned to The Mentoring Partnership – a program designed to match internationally trained professionals with established Canadian professionals in occupation-specific mentoring relationships.
Pir Momin knew it would not be easy to find work in his field. His mentor helped him to build a professional network, target his résumé and provided helpful advice through the interview process. Pir’s mentor successfully coached him through a series of five interviews resulting in Pir being selected as the successful candidate for a Radiologist position.
Pir has since indicated that when he is eligible (in three years) he would also like to be a mentor.
Each week, TMP’s Facilitators meet with Internationally Trained Professionals who are eager to gain experience and access Canadian networks in order to find work.
If you or someone you know could benefit from the program, contact a Facilitator by phone at 905-420-3008 or email.
