Employment Rates in Canada

Using data from Statistics Canada, Global News calculated full-time employment rates in 33 Canadian cities to determine which cities had the lowest full-time employment rates.

flagAccording to their analysis, the city of Saguenay, QC had Canada’s lowest full-time employment rate at 41.9%, followed by Peterborough, ON at 42% and Trois-Rivières, QC at 42.2%.

An aging population is cited as a potential reason why some of the cities are seeing low full-time employment rates. Learn more.
