upNext Durham

upNext Durham is an exciting three week Digital Skills Development Program that offers young adults in Durham Region the opportunity to get real world experience among many other skills.

The aim of upNext Durham is to help improve participants’ chances of getting a job or starting their own business.

DRUHC’s Marketing/Outreach Specialist, Elsii Faria (pictured speaking in the first photo of this article) was delighted to participate in upNext to interview interested applicants and as a member of the live HR Panel Discussion.

Topics of interest included what employers and recruiters look for in candidates and best practices with résumés and interviews.

Get on the list for the next intake of youth for the upNext Durham Program.

upNext was a pilot program initiated by the Town of Ajax in 2015.

Startup Durham Region now runs the program.
