According to a study released by Civic Action, jobs in retail, health, banking or IT are good places to start.
Across the board, the most sought-after skills that employers are looking for are soft skills including communication, teamwork, empathy and problem-solving. Unfortunately, those skills are in short supply.
At the top of the list is communication. No matter how much technology changes, the ability to communicate effectively will never become outdated.

Youth Employment Stats:
In November, Statistics Canada reported that the unemployment rate for young Canadians aged 15-24 is 10.8 while the national average is 5.6.
Across Canada, more than 860,000 youth are not working, studying or in some form of training. This has a negative long-term impact on both young people and society
